Workshop Location BDPI-2016 will be held at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel in Arlington, VA on April 20th - 21st. The Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel is connected to the Residence Inn Arlington Capital View. Half of our hotel block is in each hotel. The meeting rooms can be directly accessed from both hotels. Directions, parking, etc. are applicable to both hotels. | |||
| Directions from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA): The hotel is within close vicinity of DCA, only 0.9 miles SW from the DCA airport. The hotel provides a complimentary airport shuttle service (scheduled through 703-413-1300) from/to the airport. The estimated taxi fare (one way) is $10. | |||
| Directions from Subway Station: The closest subway station is the Crystal City (Blue & Yellow Lines). For both Renaissance and Residence Inn visitors, there is a complimentary shuttle bus that goes back and forth between the hotel and shuttle every 10-15 minutes. | |||
| Directions for Alternative Transportation: Directions for alternative transportation (e.g., driving directions and/or transportation from the IAD aiport) are available at the Renaissance Hotel website. | |||
| Parking There is on-site self parking. It costs $9 per hour or $20 daily. Valet parking is also available for $34. |

Hotel Reservations The hotel block is full. We cannot accommodate any more hotel room requests. In order to avoid submitting receipts, we have a block reservation for the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel and its connecting hotel, the Residence Inn Arlington Capital View. Big Data Program PIs will receive hotel accomodations. The deadline to book a hotel room at the group rate is April 5, 2016. You will be asked to pay for incidentals, but the hotel room will be funded through the workshop as long as you reserve your accomodations using the special group link. | |||

Travel Reservations We are not accepting any more travel request. Big Data HUBS PIs (only) will also receive travel support. To avoid submitting receipts, travel must be booked through Shorts Travel Agency. The deadline to book travel if you are a Big Data Hubs PI is April 4, 2016. There are two ways you can book your travel.
