Can I book my airfare?
Yes, please go ahead and make your travel arrangements. If you are not a Big Data HUBs PI, then you must cover your own travel. Please book it through your favorite website or travel agent. If you are a Big Data HUBs PI, then you need to book it through Shorts Travel: 877-277-5568. Let them know that you are attending the Big Data PI workshop.

When do I submit receipts?
You should have no receipts to submit. Your hotel will be covered directly, except incidentals. You are expected to pay your incidentals. Your grant should include money for travel.

What are the requirements for posters?
The workshop will provide easels and boards for the posters. The size of each board is 30 inches x 40 inches. The poster can be either vertical or horizontal (with a preference to the verticial format). The font type should be easily legible and sized to be readable at a distance of several feet or 2 to 3 meters/yards. The poster should include the project title, full names of the PIs, the affiliations of the authors, and information about your project objectives, progress made, and relevant references. Of course, you should include information that you think would be interesting to this audience (results, etc.).

What time will the workshop end on Thursday?
We will be done at 4:30 p.m.

What is the closest airport to fly into?
Reagan National Airport is 1 mile away. The hotel is about 1 hour from Dulles International or Baltimore Washington International.

Does the hotel have Internet access in the guest rooms?
Yes. There is complimentary Internet access in each guest room.
